Marilla is my great-great grandmother.  She was born 26 May 1862 in Wabash County, Indiana and died 21 Mar 1948 in Marion, Grant, Indiana.

    I love these old photos that were taken outside. I have several like it my self. I have always wondered why they never took any inside. Perhaps there was no lighting for those big cameras. Even so, did you wonder why they are always sitting in a chair?
