Jacob SCOTT, born in 1845 in Indiana, is the fourth son of John SCOTT and Abigail HARRELL.
On 16 Oct 1862 at the age of 17 he married Mary JONES.
On 25 Mar 1864 at age 19 he enlisted in the 47th Indiana Infantry, Company I. Just 3 months later he died in St. Louis, MO.
He is buried in Jefferson National Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis. His name is also on a monument at Center Grove Cemetery in LaFontaine, IN. His two brothers Moses and Jesse D. are also listed on the monument. All three brothers lost their lives in the Civil War.
