Some of you will remember this post when I met Tina Lyons in Fort Wayne. I talked about how corny I sounded when introducing myself to Tina. Well,......I may have been even worse yesterday.
Each year the Elkhart County Genealogical Society brings in a speaker for their Fall Workshop. This year it was Dick Eastman. Before the session started I went over to introduce myself and asked for a picture. Here it is:
Luckily this photo doesn't show the extent of my "geekness" but trust me folks.....it was present in full force.
I'm headed to NGS in May in Cincinnati and between now and then I really need to work on my "cool" quotient.
Oh my heavens that's going to take a lot of work.
I totally understand - I'm not very good at controlling my geekiness, either!
ReplyDeleteGeekiness rocks!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa...I'm sure Dick understood. He's probably been there - done that, too! Thank you for stopping by CITexas Gal and becoming a Follower. I see we have lots in common as Find A Grave Volunteers and are fans of Old Cemeteries! Really enjoyed your post about repairing headstones. I've found gravesites of my ancestors without any headstones, and it is one of my 'Bucket List' goals to fix that! Nice to meet you, and I look forward to more visits to your Blogs...Sue
